Capstone Progress Week 2
Week 2 has been an easier week for me. The Venn diagram studies actually helped me figure out and remember what I’m passionate about — I don’t have a solid idea that I’m in love with yet, but I’m definitely feeling better about capstone than I was last week. The Venn diagram exercise also weirdly helped me with my mental health and my personal life. It made me pick up a book I never finished and I started reading again, it’s been so nice to have an outlet that doesn’t involve staring at a screen and getting out of my own head and thoughts for a little bit has been needed.
Highlights this week:
- stealing roses from my neighbors rose bush
- going to spring grove for my EGD class- it was so peaceful and beautiful
- reading on my balcony
- rohs cafe with Bridget
Capstone random thoughts:
The pecha kucha was HARD — writing my ideas down was easy for the Venn diagram exercise, but speaking about them was surprisingly difficult. The ideas are in my head, but not fully formed so I found some topics difficult to talk about. Also, the topics that were really personal to me that I don’t open up about were really difficult for me to give words to. I don’t know if that is good or bad honestly… it could be good to push me outside of my comfort zone and be vulnerable, but I don’t know if I want that.
